Sales Associate – Huntington & Oyster Bay, NY (On-site)

Monday – Sunday (rotating weekend schedule)

Full-time, Exempt

50-100 employees – Appliance World

Role Responsibilities

Culture - Provide an excellent customer experience to our clients both external and internal.

Personal Accountability and Performance - High performer with drive and personal accountability. Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Training and Product Knowledge - Work on gaining product knowledge and proper communication training throughout your career. There is a training program/department not only for the start of your journey but also available to all daily.

Sales Goals and Levels - Work to develop, meet and exceed sales-driven roles and tiers in multiple categories, not just sales volume.

Greeting and Phones - Managing Front Counter Experience and Answering Inbound Calls. Accommodate client's needs upon arrival - Coffee, Water, etc

Ticket Writing - Be able to write sales orders for products, exchanges, accessories, etc

Specifications - Using systems preparing specifications where asked.

Work Order Confirmations - Using a custom system for confirmations of client orders.

Payments and Scheduling - Assisting inbound clients with collecting payments, scheduling deliveries, and working with fulfillment to complete the sales process.

Financing Applications - Process applications in-store where applicable and send out processes to those clients to complete online.

Fulfillment Process - Be able to work with ordering and update clients with the status of orders.

Updating Notes and Information in Tickets/Profiles - Communication is key. Update all correspondence and notes inside tickets where applicable.

Showroom Presentation - Assist with the cleanliness of the showroom, overall preparedness, and presentation. This includes stocking and cleaning coffee makers, storage of water, flavored waters, cleaning counters, etc

Qualifications

No prior sales experience needed

At least 1+ year of customer service experience

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required

Moderate to advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, Google Sheets, Drive, and Docs.

Organized and detail-oriented with excellent follow-up skills.

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

Preferred experience working with Point of Sale Systems.

Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting Salary Range $55,000 - $58,000 (Annually, plus commission)
