Foreign Exchange Trader

<p><b>Location:</b></p>127 Public Square - Cleveland, Ohio 44114<p></p><p></p><p></p><p><b><u>Job Description:</u></b></p><p>The FX trader works with the foreign exchange sales group to price and execute client flows and hedge/manage the related market risks. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of FX trading experience at a large Swap Dealer institution on a flow desk. Must have a solid understanding of FX markets. Must understand the intricacies of FX spot, forward, swap and option products and have experience managing a portfolio of OTC FX transactions. Position is based in Cleveland, Chicago or New York Office.</p><p></p><p><b><u>Primary Responsibilities</u></b></p><ul><li>Work closely with the FX sales teams to quote FX product prices and execute trades.</li><li>Communicate daily market color, economic conditions, and trade ideas to the FX salesforce.</li><li>Manage a portfolio of FX spot, forward, swap and option products.</li><li>Understand currency, credit and desk level FX risks and manage exposures within established limits.</li><li>Understand internal systems, processes, and execution platforms to execute the desk's established risk management practices.</li><li>Clearly communicate with the head of FX trading and senior management on FX issues.</li></ul><p><b><u>Qualifications:</u></b></p><ul><li>Sell-side FX flow trading experience preferred.</li><li>Strong understanding of FX forward, swap and option products.</li><li>Strong understanding of FX swap dealer regulatory requirements with a focus on trading compliance and code of conduct (FX Global Code).</li><li>Strong understanding of FX risk management - manage inventory levels and exposures within established limits, manage stop/loss metrics, and PnL attribution.</li><li>Strong ability to accurately price and manage client flows and portfolio inventory.</li><li>Understand modern electronic FX execution markets.</li><li>Experience in trading and analyzing markets and managing FX risk.</li><li>Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship building skills.</li><li>Highly organized, disciplined and works well as a member of a trading team.</li><li>Quantitative skillset with strong attention to detail and risk management including understanding VaR, spot/forward/option exposures, and interest rate risk.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS</p><p><span>This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $110,000<span> </span>to $139,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience.
