Job Scope Manage and Perform corrosion control programs and ensure that the entire facilities across all assets, including Offshore production units, Onshore LNG plants, Barzan Plant, Refineries, Common facilities and Terminal Operations are adequately monitored and controlled to meet the Ensure Asset Integrity Company process in the most cost-effective manner while maintaining the highest level of safety and environmental compliance, integrity and reliability of operating facilities in compliance with applicable International codes, standards, specifications, company policies and best industrial practices.

Reporting and Relationships • Reports to Integrity and Reliability Engineering Manager.

• Direct Reports: 3 (Total Headcount: 26) Internal • Daily contact with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Projects for all Qatargas Assets – onshore and offshore.

• Periodic contact with Subsurface, Safety, Supply, Major Projects, Internal Audit and Legal department.

External • Frequent interface with OEMs, contractors, vendors, manufacturers and external suppliers.

• Periodic contact with different shareholders, including the company, Operating Companies within Ras Laffan, technical representatives, consultants, institutes and associations and other external Companies.

Context & Major Challenge(s) • Manage and control implementation of Corrosion Engineering policies and practices to maintain asset integrity across all facilities in accordance with applicable procedures in the most cost effective and efficient way.

• Plays a significant role in assuring the Process Safety of all company assets by enforcing equipment operate within allowed IOWs.

• Stewards the Company Pipelines Corrosion Inhibition programme for effective management of pipeline integrity.

• Ensures support to Company Risk Based Inspection programs by effective and periodic evaluation of Corrosion degradation mechanisms.

• Esnure as Level 1 Technical Authority to prevent pressure equipment and piping corrosion failures.

• Exercises judgment when stewarding corrosion control and monitoring programs, reviews critical recommendations and approves mitigation measures.

• Manage and ensure Corrosion Engineering support to all Plant Shutdown and mitigation of unplanned equipment repair.

• Manage and oversee approx.

45 contracting staff.

Oversee budget for QaQc activities in excess of USD 17 million annually.

Key Job Accountabilities 1.

Controls and coordinates the activities of a multi discipline team of Engineers and Inspectors in the field of Corrosion Engineering and metallurgy to provide efficient technical support and services to maintain mechanical integrity of company offshore and onshore operating assets and Opco support for new projects.

2.

Drive strategic planning and provide guidance to team on the material selection, material performance, chemical treatment, cathodic protection, non-metallic, protective coatings and linings, corrosive process conditions.

3.

Ensure and plan annual corrosion management strategies and controls for all company Offshore and Onshore operated facilities and pipelines.

4.

Manage and implement corrosion engineering programs for all company facilities including offshore platforms, pipelines, onshore process facilities, condensate refinery, storage facilities, export and loading facilities and ensures that company utilizes cost effective corrosion control and monitoring technique such as cathodic protection, coating surveys, internal corrosion monitoring, corrosion coupon retrievals, IWO / Fluid Monitoring etc.

Steward and administer Corrosion Engineering Contracts, ensure services contract governance comply with company policies and post award procedures.

6.

Share corrosion control high level performance results for management visualization and timely intervention.

7.

Plan and approve annual Corrosion Engineering Division budgets and manages cost by monitoring spending and obtaining required value from services contractors.

8.

Approve corrosion engineering programs to ensure that all company facilities (LNG Plants, Offshore installations, pipelines, onshore and terminal facilities and refinery) and new installations conform at all time to Company and Statutory standards.

9.

Steward corrosion related engineering studies in collaboration with Shareholders, engineering consultants for effective mitigation of operational challenges.

10.

Prepare Scope of Work and contribute to the evaluation of calls for tender for Corrosion control and monitoring related contracts.

Ensure availability of contractor manpower required for corrosion control and monitoring programs.

11.

Ensure and direct SME support to Major Projects during feed/EPC stage on lesson learnt related to Integrity and Corrosion Engineering.

Qualifications • Bachelors’ degree in Chemical, Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering.

• 12 years of experience in Oil & Gas Industry particularly in corrosion control and mitigation functions with at least 3 years of experience in either inspection or corrosion at a head level.

• Possess excellent knowledge of best practices in integrity assessment, quality and corrosion management.

• Excellent written and spoken English.

• Strong leadership skills.

• Strong analytical, interpretative and constructive thinking with a significant degree of evaluative judgement.

• Strong communication skills.

• Advanced computer literacy.
