Position Description

This position is a Key Position within the team as support for team members and leadership. This position will work closely with leadership to ensure operational expectations are being met by the team and that the team is aware of those expectations. To be successful this person should have excellent communication skills, operational and workflow knowledge, be able to work independently and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.

o Show initiative and take an enthusiastic proactive approach to work

o Operational understanding and knowledge of workflow processes

o Timely completion of assigned tasks

o Ability to make day to day operational decisions to support the mission and function of the organization

o Ability to train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing and scheduling work assignments

o Ability to examine operational procedures and collaborate with leadership to develop and implement new strategies and/or processes to include best practices.

o Maintains patient records accurately and completely

o Follows all applicable government regulations including HIPPA and compliance regulations

o Process prescription refills to include: refill confirmation when appropriate, review pending refills with the supervising pharmacist, generate refill documentation and process third party claims adjudication

o Accurately process all orders in a timely manner

o Gather, organize, document, and report clinical data for review and action by the patient care team (pharmacist, nurse, prescriber, as applicable) to include: lab data as applicable, results of patient contact documented on the custom assessment and hospitalizations

o Complete all necessary paperwork, forms, and records according to policy

o Assist in the prioritization and the progress of patient paperwork through the patient care pathway

Current Need:

o Monday - Friday: 10:00 AM- 7:00 PM CT

o You must be flexible to work any shift during operational hours

Qualifications / Requirements:

High school graduate or equivalent

Pharmacy Technician license

Preferred 3-5 years of experience as a pharmacy Technician

Preferred 2 years of experience with McKesson Specialty Pharmacy

Demonstrated cross-training in multiple operational functions

Physical Requirements:

Professional office environment

Must be able to stand, walk, sit and reach outward on a frequent basis. Push/pull up to 15lbs and lift/carry up to 15 lbs.

In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$19.98 - $33.30
