Job Summary:

The Hotel Human Resources Officer is responsible for managing all aspects of the hotel's human resources functions, including recruitment, training, employee relations, compensation and benefits, compliance, and performance management. This role is crucial in fostering a positive work environment, enhancing employee engagement, and ensuring the hotel's HR policies align with its goals and legal requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment and Onboarding:

· Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.

· Manage the entire recruitment process, from job posting and candidate screening to interviewing and hiring.

· Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new employees are integrated smoothly into the hotel’s operations.

2. Training and Development:

· Identify training needs and develop comprehensive training programs for staff.

· Coordinate and conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars.

· Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make adjustments as necessary.

3. Employee Relations:

· Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

· Address employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts in a timely and effective manner.

· Promote a culture of open communication and feedback.

4. Performance Management:

· Implement and manage performance appraisal systems.

· Provide guidance and support to managers on performance management and employee development.

· Develop and implement strategies to improve employee performance and engagement.

5. Compensation and Benefits:

· Administer the hotel’s compensation and benefits programs.

· Conduct regular salary and benefits surveys to ensure competitiveness.

· Provide advice on compensation and benefits issues and resolve any related queries.

6. Compliance and Policy Management:

· Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.

· Develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures.

· Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.

7. Health and Safety:

· Oversee the implementation of health and safety policies and programs.

· Conduct regular health and safety audits and risk assessments.

· Ensure the hotel complies with all health and safety regulations.

8. HR Reporting and Analysis:

· Prepare and present regular reports on HR metrics and activities.

· Analyze HR data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

· Develop and implement HR strategies based on data analysis.

9. Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

a. Human Resource, Psychology graduate or any business-related courses.

b. Male or Female, 21 - 35 years old.

c. 5 years or more work experience, preferably from hotel and/or restaurant industry.

d. Good communication skills (both written and oral).

e. Willing to work extended hours.

f. Computer literate (MS Office applications).

g. Applicants must be willing to work in Davao City.
