Job Summary:

The Hotel General Manager is responsible for the overall operations, performance, and success of the hotel. This role involves strategic planning, leadership, and effective management to ensure the highest standards of guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and profitability. The General Manager will oversee all aspects of the hotel's operations, including guest services, front office, housekeeping, maintenance, food and beverage, human resources, sales, and marketing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Management:

· Provide strategic leadership and direction to all departments.

· Foster a positive, collaborative, and performance-driven work culture.

· Lead, coach, and mentor the management team to ensure high standards of performance and development.

2. Operational Excellence:

· Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management.

· Develop and implement standard operating procedures and policies.

· Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security standards.

3. Financial Management:

· Prepare and manage the hotel's budget, forecasts, and financial plans.

· Monitor financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.

· Implement effective cost control measures and strategies to maximize profitability.

4. Guest Experience:

· Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction and service quality.

· Address and resolve guest complaints and issues promptly.

· Continuously seek ways to improve guest experience and services.

5. Sales and Marketing:

· Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to maximize room occupancy and revenue.

· Build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

· Represent the hotel at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.

6. Human Resources:

· Oversee recruitment, training, and development of staff.

· Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.

· Foster a positive and engaging work environment.

7. Property Management:

· Ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the hotel property and facilities.

· Coordinate with the maintenance team to address repairs and improvements.

· Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.

8. Reporting and Analysis:

· Prepare and present regular reports on hotel performance to stakeholders.

· Analyze performance metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement.

· Implement strategies based on data analysis to enhance operational efficiency.

9. Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

a. Hotel and Restaurant Management graduate or any business-related courses, preferably with a master’s degree in the relevant field.

b. Male or Female, 30 - 50 years old.

c. 10 years or more work experience in supervisory or managerial level, preferably from hotel, resort and/or restaurant industry.

d. Excellent revenue management skills with experience of budgets, P&L's and forecasting.

e. Good communication skills (both written and oral).

f. Willing to work extended hours.

g. Computer literate (MS Office applications).
