College Guidance Counselor

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced College Guidance Counselor for our client, a local Catholic High School in Irving, TX!

This person will be an integral part of the student experience on campus. You'll help guide students through the admissions process, helping them discover all of the amazing options available to them, and build relationships with colleges and universities!

Summer Break What you will be doing:

Provide one-on-one counseling to students and families, offering personalized guidance throughout the college search, application, and decision-making process

Facilitate workshops, presentations, and information sessions to educate students about various college options, admission requirements, financial aid opportunities, and career pathways

Assist students in preparing college applications, including essay writing, resume building, and completing necessary forms

Provide guidance on standardized testing (SAT, ACT, etc.), including test preparation strategies, registration assistance, and score interpretation

Educate students and families about financial aid options, scholarships, grants, and other resources to make higher education more accessible

Coordinate college visits, virtual tours, and interviews to help students gain firsthand experience of campus life and culture What you will need:

At least a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution

Able to work fully onsite in Irving, TX

Background in college counseling, admissions, or related fields
