Summary:

CHRISTUS Health seeks a highly motivated and experienced leader to oversee the Imaging Information Services department. This role combines strategic leadership of the imaging department with a focus on information services and technology solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical imaging modalities and experience with various Medical Imaging Software Solutions. Additionally, they will have a proven track record in healthcare IT leadership and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care through innovative technology solutions.

Responsibilities:

Provide strategic direction and leadership for the imaging department, including operations, budget, personnel oversight, and information services integration.

Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, best practices, and optimal information system utilization.

Manage the acquisition, maintenance, and utilization of imaging equipment, ensuring seamless integration with information systems.

Lead a team of imaging and information services professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to deliver efficient and effective patient care through innovative technology solutions.

Oversee quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives to optimize patient care, quality, safety, and information systems.

Analyze departmental data and prepare reports to monitor performance, identify areas for improvement, and inform technology-driven solutions.

Develop strong relationships with stakeholders, including physicians, referring providers, external vendors, and information services leadership.

Stay up-to-date on advancements in medical imaging technology, healthcare information systems, and best practices.

Assist with creating business strategies and proposing implementation methods for content within imaging programs.

Drive continual process improvement in delivering information services for the imaging department.

Monitor, manage, and report operational updates to support efficient and effective resource utilization and prioritization planning.

Provide oversight in the analysis and evaluation of current information systems and procedures, as well as the development of system design and workflow modifications for optimization of processes.

Lead and manage a team, including recruiting, onboarding, training, mentoring, and development.

Proactively engage with CHRISTUS business units to support the development and accomplishment of CHRISTUS strategies and objectives.

Communicate with senior leadership and management to establish clear expectations regarding integrating designated imaging programs and information services.

Establish end-user support service levels and work with Business Leadership and IS to drive technology improvements based on user needs and organizational goals. Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in a leadership role within a healthcare imaging department and information technology.

Master's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, Information Services, or a related field (MBA or MHSA preferred). A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, business, or a related field, plus applicable leadership experience in an Imaging department is also acceptable.

Exhibit excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Ability to think strategically, solve problems effectively, and manage complex projects.

Aware of emerging trends, best practices in Medical Imaging and Information Services, and evolving regulatory requirements with information services implications.

Capable of evaluating the needs of the business and presenting technology-driven solutions along with workflows to information services leadership.

Experience working closely with clinical leaders to standardize solutions, workflows, and practices.

Demonstrate commitment to patient safety, high-quality care, and continuous improvement through technology innovation.

Demonstrate a strong knowledge of crucial healthcare information systems (Epic and associated products preferred).

Possess the financial skills related to budgeting, forecasting, and managing multi-million-dollar budgets.

Experience in providing and managing customer support in a highly matrixed organization.

Experience with relevant ITIL support and delivery processes (ITIL Certification preferred).

Discuss the proven ability to manage multiple and complex projects. Additional Information:

May be required to work long hours during critical problems or implementations.
