Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is an authorized SkillBridge Program under the Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction 1322.29 to support transitioning our Service Members into the civilian workforce and deliver training, development and employment opportunities during the last 180 days of service. Skillbridge Program offers internship opportunities across one of the world's most complex aerospace organizations. We offer business challenges on a scale few companies can match. These opportunities span throughout Boeing's Business Units: Commercial Airplanes; Defense, Space and Security; Boeing Global Services and Corporate. These positions maybe available in the following locations: Colorado Springs, CO, El Segundo, CA, Herndon, VA, Huntsville, AL, Jacksonville, FL, Mesa, AZ, Albuquerque, NM, New Orleans, LA, Oklahoma City, OK, Ridley Park, PA, San Antonio, TX, Seal Beach, CA, Hazelwood, MO and other locations as needed. At Boeing, these roles are essential to running a business that connects and protects people around the world.

Service members of any rank, both enlisted or officer may apply to internship for entry to mid-level positions. Senior levels are considered based on candidate's applicable industry and military transferable experience. Participants are not eligible for compensation from Boeing while on active duty and continue to receive military compensation and benefits.

Qualified candidates are matched and interviewed for specific roles and locations based off of business requirements to gain first-hand experience and insight into aerospace and defense business. Selected active duty US military members will perform in highly skilled roles prior to transitioning out of the military while on active duty to bridge the gap between valuable military service and civilian work experience through specific industry training with an industry partner during final 6 months of active duty service. Ability to apply your military experience to meaningful projects while developing skills in business acumen, data analytics, financial analysis, strategy and operations. Areas of Interests: Multidisciplinary Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Software and Systems)

Join us as we build the future in Engineering! Interns will have the chance to support engineering projects in space systems, military systems, commercial aircraft or technology development. Internship opportunities are available in but not limited to: aerospace/flight, mechanical/structural, electrical, software, systems, industrial, material and test engineering.

Skillbridge Engineering Intern Key Responsibilities May Include:

Deliver multiple engineering skill areas to accomplish engineering content of business objective.

Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.

Researches, develops, analyzes, designs, and tests company products using engineering and scientific principles. Translates engineering and scientific concepts from preliminary ideas through product life cycle. Analyzes and verifies product design and performance for adequacy, including reliability. DoD Skillbridge Internship Eligible Applicants - Active Duty US Military Only with Honorable discharge prior to internship start date and Command approval to participate

TEMPORARY ROLE: Not to exceed 180 days

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor's Degree in one of the following core engineering/applied sciences disciplines (Aeronautical/Aerospace, Chemical/Material Science, Computer Science, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Software, Systems) OR 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of techical education and experience.

Served at least 180 continuous days on active duty

Within 12 months of separation or retirement from the military

Able to start 180 days prior to separation or retirement from active duty Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Graduate degree in related discipline from an accredited college or university

Active Security clearance
