Mason

Fabricates, alters, repairs, and maintains walls, sidewalks, floors, manholes, and others related structures, or surfaces.

Prepares surfaces prior to beginning work.

Lays blocks or bricks following blueprints, plans, or drawing.

Identifies damage and then carries out repairs.

Determines work requirements and sequence of masonry assignments through review of work orders, plans, or drawings.

Mixes cement using hoes, cement mixing equipment, and/or hand tools.

Lay outs work using chalk lines, plumb bobs, tapes, square, and levels.

Estimates and materials cost.

Completes all duties according to applicable safety measures and published procedures.

Maintains a tidy work environment and adhering to industry regulations.
