Job Summary:

The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the food importation and distribution company. The ideal candidate should have a good background in food distribution, inland and cross-border logistics, and basic warehousing. Proficiency in ERP and Excel is also required, as well as excellent interpersonal skills. The candidate must possess the following characteristics: trustworthy, reliable, detail-oriented, cost-efficient, and honest.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate the inbound and outbound logistics of the company's food products, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to customers.

Supervise and manage the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring inventory accuracy, proper storage, and timely order fulfillment.

Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies to ensure product availability and cost efficiency.

Monitor and analyze the performance of the transportation and logistics service providers, and make recommendations for improvement.

Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including customs and trade laws.

Manage the company's ERP system, ensuring accurate and timely data entry, and generating reports as needed.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and customer service, to ensure the smooth operation of the business.

Monitor and manage operating expenses and identify areas for cost savings.

Foster a positive and productive work environment, and provide guidance and support to the operations team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in food distribution and logistics, preferably in a managerial role.

Strong knowledge of inland and cross-border logistics, and basic warehousing practices.

Proficient in ERP systems and Excel.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Detail-oriented, reliable, trustworthy, and cost-efficient.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to make data-driven decisions.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
