Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a General Counsel located in Makati, with flexibility for some remote work. The General Counsel will be responsible for providing counsel and support on legal matters, including legal consulting, legal document preparation, and contract law.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of corporate legal matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, contracts, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.

2. Advise on labor and employment law issues, including employment contracts, workplace policies, discrimination and harassment matters, wage and hour compliance, employee benefits, and labor relations.

3. Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, policies, and other legal documents related to corporate and labor matters.

4. Stay up-to-date on changes in labor and employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks for the company.

5. Represent the company in legal proceedings, negotiations, and other legal matters related to corporate and labor issues.

6. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including HR, finance, and business units, to provide legal support and advice on various legal matters.

7. Work closely with external legal counsel as needed to address specialized legal issues or to support legal projects.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.

2. 3 years of experience as a corporate counsel or attorney with a focus on both corporate legal matters and labor matters.

3. Strong knowledge of employment law, including state and federal labor laws, regulations, and best practices.

4. Demonstrated experience in handling corporate legal matters, such as mergers and acquisitions, contracts, corporate governance, and intellectual property.

5. Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

6. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

7. Strong business acumen and the ability to provide practical legal advice that aligns with the company's strategic objectives.
