Duties and Responsibilities:
Studies all assigned surgical cases prior to surgery.
Inspects all instruments and/or implants to be used prior to their surgery.
Effectively assist surgeons in various surgical cases.
Ensures the sterility of all instruments and implants post-surgery by performing proper and thorough disinfection prior to returning to the Quality Assurance Department.
Ensures that all instruments and implants are complete prior to returning to the QA department.
Reports critical incidents that occurred during surgery including but not limited to defective and/or damaged implants and/or instruments.
Conducts regular case presentations pre and/or post-surgery.
Qualifications and Standards:
Bachelor’s Degree holder of any four (4) year course preferably of any allied health courses (BS Physical Therapy/Nursing/Medical Technology, and etc.).
With at least 3 months of experience as a Quality Assurance Associate or in similar function.
Has the following abilities: Communication skills, problem-solving, attention to detail, delivering feedback, result-driven, critical thinking, teamwork & collaboration, resilience, product knowledge, product handling, Aseptic Technique, Medical terminologies, Surgical Techniques.
