Monroe Consulting Group Philippines, an executive search firm, is partnering with a leading fashion distribution and retail company to fill the position of Assistant Accounting Manager. Role Summary:As the Assistant Accounting Manager, you will report to the Senior Accounting Manager and play a crucial role in compiling and analyzing financial data to produce timely reports. Responsibilities include examining accounts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax laws. Additionally, you will support the financial cycle, assist management, and monitor business metrics for operational decisions.

Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting and Analysis

Ensure complete posting of transactions in the system.

Plan and implement period closing procedures based on set timelines.

General Accounting

Lead month-end closing and financial reporting processes.

Prepare and record JV payroll entries and quarterly reconciliations.

Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

Treasury, Cash Management, and Collection

Manage payment requirements and bank accounts.

Review and submit monthly cash flow forecasts.

Facilitate fund placements and monitor forex transactions.

Oversee bank credit facilities and wire transfers.

Plan and monitor collection activities.

Taxation and Regulatory Compliance

Ensure compliance with tax regulations and BIR requirements.

Manage income tax compliance and provisions processes.

Prepare reports for government agencies.

Section Management

Ensure timely month-end closing and compliance with company guidelines.

Provide support and training to team members.

Key Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, CPA preferred.

3-5 years of supervisory experience or 3 years as an Assistant Finance Manager.

Knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and SAP.

Strong leadership and decision-making skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
