The Atlanta Regional Collaborative for Health Improvement’s (ARCHI’s) mission is to collaboratively invert the burden from those in health distress, engaging a broad network of intersectional partners to sustainably change the system and

solve health inequities in metro Atlanta. ARCHI’s 110 partner organizations share a 28-year commitment to improving health in the metro Atlanta area. Focused primarily on the social determinants and Vital Conditions for Health, the diverse partnership includes health care institutions along with organizations that work on a wide range of issues

including transportation, housing, homelessness, behavioral health, immigrant and refugee concerns, and job training and placement. Formed in 2012, the collaborative provides support and technical assistance to agencies interested in working together, across sectors to achieve improvements not only in the delivery of care but in the significant health inequities that prevent too many Atlantans from achieving their potential. ARCHI was founded by the Georgia Health Policy Center, the University Way of Greater Atlanta, and the Atlanta Regional Commission. Georgia State University and

the Georgia Health Policy Center serve as the administrative home and fiscal agent for the collaborative.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The senior research associate (senior innovation manager) is a lead member of the ARCHI team providing project management, research and analysis, and partner and fund development to support key elements of ARCHI’s Invert the Burden Strategy. The SRA must be extremely organized and possess strong research, writing, analytical, and project management skills, including the ability to successfully manage and coordinate work products, deadlines, and deliverables. This is an Atlanta-based position.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

Manage existing projects and develop new business opportunities to implement ARCHI’s Invert the Burden Strategy.

Serve as a project leader, facilitating all aspects of project research, design, implementation, and evaluation.

Manage relevant grants and contracts, grantor relationships, relevant budgets, and reporting.

Facilitate the development of partners and partnerships to support individual projects including facilitating meetings, understanding individual partner incentives, and developing a cohesive strategy to maintain momentum throughout the life of the project.

Evaluate the impact of ARCHI projects.

Author reports, abstracts, briefing papers, presentations, and other communications to support individual projects and the overall ARCHI strategy.

Build relationships with external stakeholders including ARCHI steering committee members and community leaders and residents.

Lead meetings and represent ARCHI at conferences and national meetings.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES TO MAKE YOU SHINE

Project development, including proposal development.

Knowledge of community health worker programs.

Knowledge of health systems and care coordination.

Project management, including budget management.

Research and evaluation design.

Qualitative and quantitative analytic skills.

Writing, reporting, and oral presentation skills.

Group facilitation skills.

Networking skills and aptitude to represent ARCHI with local, state, and national organizations.

Ability to initiate new strategic relationships to support ARCHI projects – experience collaborating with residents and community leaders.

Effective time management and organizational skills.

Demonstrated participatory and team-oriented style of interaction.

Ability to multitask, pay attention to detail, and exhibit excellent customer service skills.

Ability to be flexible and shift priorities among multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of Salesforce a plus.

Must be a self-starter that is able to work independently and with teams.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000. The position is sponsor-funded and is contingent upon funding.

Minimum Requirements:

Ph.D. with three to five years of experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Hiring Qualifications:

Experience in project development and partner management is preferred; knowledge of collective impact practices and health and racial equity is critical. Experience in stakeholder engagement, and strong written and oral communication skills. ARCHI values lived and learned experience and welcomes candidates with lived and learned experience.
