Sundance is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Data Engineer I to join our team. Sundance is a leading omni-channel specialty retailer with headquarters located in Salt Lake City, UT. Summary

The Data Engineer I is responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture. This entails developing new ETL pipelines to accommodate emerging systems and technologies. Our ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up.

Responsibilities

Daily monitoring of essential data pipelines for quality control, automation assurance, and verification of key metrics.

Identifies, researches, and resolves technical and data problems.

Creates ETL and data pipelines based on evolving business needs

Enhances existing data pipelines to improve accuracy, readability, and load times.

Documents processes, code, and testing to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and maintainability throughout the development lifecycle.

Uphold and implement best practices and continued learning.

High level of validation for metrics before implementing new structures. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or comparable 6-8 years of experience required

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server required

Expert knowledge in building or maintaining ETL processes required

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
