Title: Communications Manager

Client: Energy Oil & Gas Company

Location: Houston, Texas

Type: Contract $50/hour

Summary:

This is an on-site role and position supporting Corporate Communications, and executive management team.

Develop communication strategy and support key corporate company objectives.

Proven track record of drafting high quality communication materials for public company executives is required.

Demonstrated experience working in a public company corporate communications or investor relations departments.

Demonstrated experience in developing a communications strategy within an organization, in conjunction with key internal stakeholders. Duties:

Work in close collaboration with a broad range of internal partners including Human Resources, Investor Relations, Community Relations, Legal, Information Technology, Operations, and the Executive Leadership.

Partner with Investor Relations to support investor/financial media relations (i.e., press releases, scripts, slides) and investor meetings/events, as well as assisting in the preparation of the annual report and other associated investor communications.

Assist with the execution of energy sustainability program and support the Company's annual sustainability reporting process.

Manage, with support of internal content owners, the external company website, and the development and execution of a social media communication strategy (for all audiences).

Serve as trusted communications advisor to the CEO and other company executives. Prepare speeches and talking points as needed for external communication.

Draft and distribute press releases and social media content, ensuring compliance with company disclosure and comment policies.

Manage external communications and public relations resources.

Lead the development and implementation of crisis response communications, if/as needed, from messaging through communication response and media coverage/management. Requirements:

8+ years corporate communications or public affairs experience with the Energy Oil & Gas industry.

Excellent MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS project management program experience.

Strong relationship building skills and experience working collaboratively with internal key stakeholders, external partners, vendors, suppliers, analyst communities.

Superior attention to detail; high level of organizational and time management skills.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact with all levels of management required.

Strong presentation skills and ability to confidentially interact with Executive Management Team and Board of Directors.

Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to effectively build and manage relationships with cross-functional colleagues, business leaders, external stakeholders.

Ability to independently develop recommendations on strategy, process improvements and deliverables based on prior experience and industry knowledge. Education:

B.S. in Finance, Journalism, English or a similar discipline is required. Masters degree or MBA preferred.
