Role and Responsibilities:
The Stocker will be responsible for merchandise rotation of excess stock and re-stocking shelves within a commissary; which is a grocery store that serves military personnel, retirees, and their families.
Work with a team that primarily composed of individuals with disabilities.
Consolidate and organize pallets received from the delivery truck.
Safely transport products from the warehouse to the sales floor.
Efficiently drop and stage products in their designated aisles and proper locations.
Replenish shelves, end caps, and displays with missing products to ensure a well-stocked store.
Rotate products on the shelves to maintain product freshness and appearance.
Check for and remove expired merchandise from shelves to maintain product quality.
Place items on shelves according to store layout and organization standards.
Unload products from delivery trucks with care and attention to detail.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Strictly observe the company's safety rules and guidelines to promote a secure workplace.
Familiarize yourself with the department's products to provide better customer assistance.
Comply with all Federal, State, and Local regulatory standards and procedures relevant to the role.
Ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is available, in good condition, and utilized for each task.
Verify that equipment is in safe operating condition and that all safety measures are in place.
Immediately report accidents, incidents, or near misses to the Project Manager.
Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager to support store operations.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma and/or GED.
No experience needed
Physical Demands:
Reasonable accommodations may be me made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.
Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, gran and lift up to fifty (25) lbs.
Must be able to stand and walk the entire shift.
