Job Purpose
Provides leadership and support to all personnel within the assigned Area. Works closely with the Operations Executive, Enhance Management Leadership Group, and Doctors to ensure all business aspects of the practices are functioning orderly, effectively, and efficiently. This individual strives to bring out the best in the entire staff, for the benefit of our patients and our business. The Area Director of Operations is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the Clinic Staff and support of the Doctors. The Area Director of Operations goal is to ensure the company vision is attained, the values are upheld, and our culture is representative of the Enhance Way.
Duties and Responsibilities
At all times, model the Vision and Values of Enhance
Lead the Practice Staff and work as a direct support mechanism for the Practice Doctors
Carry out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and processes
Coordinate the office and employees schedule based on need
Review and approve employee time
Responsible for training and developing highly motivated teams of professionals
Provide guidance, coaching, and leadership to all staff members
Work cooperatively with Doctors to communicate and reinforce changes in policies and processes to staff
Hold weekly Clinic Leadership Meetings with staff and Doctors, focusing on vision, people, data, issues, process and traction
Review office reports to determine the needs of the office
Own and execute the End of Month and Accounts Payable process in the clinics
Monitor lab and supply expenses
Hire staff when deemed necessary
Perform GWC reviews, promotions and terminations
Reward and discipline employees when necessary
Use conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques in managing interpersonal conflict and patient issues
Address complaints and resolve issues reported from the clinics
Work with Doctors and Enhance in developing goals for Operations
Take initiative in improving Enhance processes and coordinate with Corporate Teams to ensure alignment
Maintain positive working relationships between the clinics and Corporate Teams that support the clinics
Demonstrate a positive can-do attitude
Demonstrate emotional and mental maturity, the ability to engender trust, and model an “always ready to listen” mentality
Treat patients, visitors and co-workers with respect and courtesy
Step directly into clinic staff roles when necessary
Model organization, motivation, and a commitment to excellence
Demonstrate ability to use the clinic’s computer software and other equipment
Increase knowledge and skills through self-study and other education
Maintain dependable job attendance
Comply with all Enhance Management policies, processes and State/Federal rules and regulations
Comply with all OSHA policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. Adhere to all safety and infection control rules. Uses appropriate safety equipment
Comply with HIPAA and maintain confidential information
Report ethics and compliance violations to Enhance Management
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred, but not required
Experience: Five or more years of experience in managing a team required
Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and low-grade radiation. Work is performed in a typical clinic setting during non-travel time. The noise level is usually moderate. Since everyone within the practice works on a time schedule governed by patients’ appointments, the work and general environment in the clinics can become somewhat hectic at times. Therefore, it is essential the employee is able to, both physically and emotionally, effectively handle the normal anxieties associated with the job. Travel to various locations is required.

Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and/or move, push/pull objects up to 50 pounds.

Use close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
