Community Forklift is a nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting the community through sustainability, creativity, and economic opportunity. We are a reuse warehouse where donated building materials, appliances, furniture, and architectural salvage are made available to neighbors in need, homeowners, nonprofits, contractors, and artists at a low cost or for free.

As a Truck Helper:

You will assist the truck driver in the safe collection of material donations that are picked up by Community Forklift.

You will assist the truck driver with the physical management and general upkeep of the truck, including all related tools and equipment.

You will assist the truck driver with loading/unloading and securing of materials in the truck.

You will check daily schedule of pickups.

You will communicate and provide spotting while the truck is maneuvering at job sites. Truck Helper Job requirements:

Able to lift and carry 60Lbs or more.

Able to use and read a tape measure accurately.

Availability for operating hours 8am-4pm (40 hour work week).

Construction, carpentry, or handyman experience preferred.

Experience using manual moving equipment (pallet jack, hand truck, dolly, and push carts) preferred.

A commitment to the Community Forklift missions of reuse, sustainability, and community service. Qualifications:

HS Diploma/GED preferred

2 years experience

6 years work experience in a warehouse environment or as a driver may be substituted in lieu of education What we offer:
