Human Resources Generalist Metals USA - - is in searchnof a Human Resources Generalist with an opportunity in our Germantown, Wi, Chicago, IL, and Wooster, OH locations.

The HR Generalist is responsible for performing human resources related duties on a professional level and works closely with the senior human resources leadership in supporting the coordination of talent acquisition and onboarding, training, employment relations, labor relations, safety, policy implementation, affirmative action, employee engagement, diversity & inclusion, HRIS and benefits for multi-site heavy industrial facilities.

The HR Generalist ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.

* Coordinates and implements the administration of company-wide human resources policies and practices in accordance with stated company objectives and Federal, State legal requirements.

* Administers recruitment and retention strategies process for assigned locations.

* Administers the development, coordination and deliverance of training programs, performance appraisal process, compensation systems, and benefit programs for assigned facilities.

* Performs benefits administration to include claim resolution, change reporting, wellness programs and communicating benefits information to employees.

* Maintains EEO-1 files and reports annually as required.

* Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and non-exempt personnel; conducts new employee orientation; monitors career pathing program and coordinates all advertisements.

* Assists senior management on human resources management issues.

* Assists labor relation program to include labor contract negotiation, labor contract management, and grievance resolution and arbitration preparation.

* Assists employee relations activities and programs including but not limited to employee counseling, interpretation of policies, new employee orientation, and employee recognition programs for assigned locations.

* Maintains department records and human resources information reports & compiles reports from the database.

Participates in administrative meetings as required.

* Maintains company organizational charts as required.

* Forges relationships with all department managers and supervisors and hourly employees.

* Adheres to the Reliance Steel and Aluminum's Code of Conduct as well as employee confidentiality requirements.

* Performs projects as assigned by the Regional Human Resources Manager.

* Regular and predictable attendance is required; travels to all plants to perform duties as Metals USA offers a competitive starting salary and benefits plus upward mobility professional growth.

Position Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in business administration, Industrial Relations * Ability to travel overnight up to 20% is required.

* Ability to recruit hourly to senior leadership positions as required.

* Must possess a thorough understanding and comprehension of all human resources principles and practices, to include employment law, Affirmative Action and EEOC compliance.

* Must have the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

* Must have the ability to work with all levels of management and develop critical working relationships.

* Must have the ability to communicate oral & written effectively with both internal and external HR customers.

* Must have a professional demeanor and ability to communicate with all departments to foster a success-oriented, deadline driven organization.

* Ability to demonstrate professionalism & diplomacy at all times.

* Must have the ability to motivate employees through employee engagement and diversity & inclusion programs.

* Must have strong organizational, planning, problem-solving and analytical skills.

* Must possess flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

* Must have a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Products and HRIS Certifications/Licenses: * Current, valid driver's license in good standing * PHR Certificate preferred.
