Data Scientist

TITLE: Data Scientist EMPLOYER: Stripe, Inc.

DUTIES: Build statistical models, define and analyze product and operational metrics, explore experimental design, and construct exploratory analysis with internal data; Analyze, write, and deploy code to improve the performance of online ML systems; Write code to create and deploy data pipelines for large amounts of data; Design and improve ML algorithms for optimization; Collaborate with other data scientists, engineers and operations to formulate innovative solutions to experiment and implement advanced data mining techniques; Communicate complex concepts and the results of metrics and analyses in a clear and effective manner through creative visualization; Communicate findings broadly and interact with other teams including product managers, software engineers, marketing, and business development; Conduct high level analyses to help set business strategy for ML products.

LOCATION: Seattle, WA (and various unanticipated work locations across the U.S.) REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Data Science or related and 3 years of experience in a Data Science role Position requires the following: 3 years of experience in Data Analysis Using Python or SQL; 3 years of experience in Designing and analyzing online experiments using causal inference methods; 2 years of experience in ML Modelling to optimize business outcomes using Python; 1 year of experience in Write Backend Code in Production Languages like Ruby, Java, or Scala; 1 year of experience in Perform economic analyses of strategies to determine optimum, most profitable strategies; and 1 year of experience in Create interactive data visualizations and dashboards using Javascript.

SALARY: $185,000-$195,000/year and standard employee benefits.
