Job Summary

Provides a variety of specialized duties which support and serve students who require Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies and Discrete Trial Training (DTT) School and/or Home Programs; assists with functional assessments and the creation of behavior plans; provides parent and teacher training; and performs related work as required. Requirements / Qualifications

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent and completion of at least two years of study at an institution of higher learning or attainment of an Associates Degree in a related field, such as psychology or child development. Two years of directly related experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Multiple Disabilities, Emotional Disturbance or Mental Disabilities. A minimum of 40 hours of direct instruction in Applied Behavior Analysis.

Licenses and Certificates:

Valid California driver's license. Crisis Prevention Intervention and Applied Assaultive Training Certificates will be required before start of assignment. Completion of District sponsored two-day Autism training. Valid first aid and CPR certificates. Registered Behavior Technician certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
