Until Filled The East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) is a public Career and Technical Education District (CTED) providing tuition-free career and technical education (CTE) programs to high school students - public, charter, and home-schooled - and tuition-based programs to adults who reside in 11 school districts in the East Valley of the Phoenix metropolitan area. EVIT offers over 40 CTE programs at four centralized campuses. Centralized campus programs provide two to four hours of hands-on training every day and prepare students for professional certification and licensing exams. EVIT students who complete their training have a 98 percent high school graduation rate and 90 percent on average are in jobs related to their training, college or the military within a year. Two out of three EVIT students go on to college.

This is an anticipated position for the 24/25 school year

Applications are being accepted for the position of Emergency Medical Technician Teacher with the East Valley Institute of Technology. The starting date is approximately July 1, 2024. The beginning annual salary range for this 10-month full-time position is approximately $48,545 - $70,000 dependent upon preparation and like experience.

Job Summary:

To plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their educational potential.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 240 clock hours of verified occupational experience in the specific trades to be taught;

OR

6,000 clock hours of verified occupational experiences in the specific classes to be taught;

AND

Arizona Department of Education secondary or career & technical education certificate
