Pay Ranger: $19 - 24

OVERALL SUMMARY

Responsible for various types of installation mechanics from ground level of truck assembly. Elliott products are manufactured to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction for installation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Interpretation of mechanical drawings

Conventional and precision measuring instruments

Process inspection, certification, and documentation

Builds and/or modifies equipment in accordance to established specifications to meet specific project requirements

Ensures quality control

Repairs and/or modifies existing and new products accordance with established specifications and procedures

Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies

Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices

Punctual and regular attendance is required

Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Must have own tools REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Individual must possess these knowledge's, skills, and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings/blueprints

Mechanical aptitude

Ability to weld 1G, 3G, and 4G preferred.

Ability to communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.

Ability to attend to visual and written details in order to identify errors.

Ability to function effectively as a team player.

Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing

Good math and measurement skills

Ability to manage several projects simultaneously

Must be self motivated EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School diploma, or equivalent

One year experience in various forms of welding

Previous mechanical experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs frequently throughout the day, depending on work related circumstances.

Must be able to lift objects from floor to above shoulder level and be able to lift from lying position on back overhead. Must be able to move objects/parts/tools and equipment from one area to another and one level to another.

This position includes the following physical demands:

Extending and pulling the hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction while working with various tools as mentioned before.

Seizing, holding, rasping, turning, pulling, or otherwise working with hands and arms.

Using arms in such a way as pulling of tools, wrenches, parts, and equipment to complete the job.

Picking, pinching, or otherwise working with fingers primarily (rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling).

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time

Ability to climb up and down trucks, steps, and ladders safety.
