SUMMARY

Partner Engineering & Science, Inc. is seeking an experienced and initiative-taking Project/Senior Project Geologist or Engineer for our growing Environmental Solutions team inthe Great Lakes Region, with emphasis on Wisconsin and Minnesota. This position will be essential to Partner’s continuing Central US expansion, with continued growth in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Minnesota, Ohio, Missouri, and Michigan. The ideal candidate will be a mid-to senior-level environmental consultant with 5-15 years of experience and ideally well-versed in Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) regulatory processes. The candidate should be interested in being part of a dynamic and growing company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Required: bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geoscience, or Geology from an accredited university. Recommended: Post Graduate Coursework or master’s degree in these fields;

Professional License(s) in technical specialty is a plus;

3-15 years of successful Project Management experience, maintaining budgets and schedules while ensuring client retention through high quality deliverables;

Experience with MN and/or WI regulatory programs is a must, with other Great Lakes regulatory knowledge a plus;

Excellent technical writing skills with a history of the preparation of detailed reports subjected to review by legal counsel;

Excellent communication skills, and computer skills;

Attitude of collaboration and enthusiasm for a dynamic and growing work environment;

Ability to accept and give professional guidance from and to others;

Ability to work efficiently under multiple deadlines/changing priorities. Ability to manage time independently and to work effectively on a project team;

Ability to review site data with regard to appliable regulations;

Experience managing/mentoring / leading junior field staff and coordinating field programs;

History of Project Experience in the following areas:

Performance of IAQ / soil gas surveys / well installations

Underground storage tank removal and remedial excavation oversight

Soil sampling, soil excavation oversight

Groundwater treatment design/implementation and monitoring programs

Soil vapor mitigation/remediation experience a plus

Remedial option(s) analysis/design / permitting/implementation

Regulatory coordination/compliance experience

Experience with technical litigation, attorney-client work products, and work within the client side of the industry is a plus. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Serving as primary Project/Senior Project Manager or manager of tasks for Environmental Solutions (investigation, regulatory engagement, remediation/mitigation) in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and other Great Lakes/Central Region states with potential for some project work outside of the region.

Serve as one of the primary leads for proposal preparation or assignment for Remediation Projects in the Central US with support from the rest of the Central and National Environmental Solutions Team.

Anticipated utilization goal of 70-80%, with the vast majority of this work being comprised of existing and new projects generated by other Partner project managers and sales teams.

Participate in the ongoing development of Environmental Solutions standard field protocols and procedures, implementing electronic field forms and mapping tools, leading technical breakout sessions, and knowledge sharing.

Collaboratively continue Central/Great Lakes US business development via internal networking and presentations to the Partner’s sales team.

Participate in industry networking and business development events and conferences.

Serve as a technical resource for Illinois and other Central/Great Lakes states for Partner’s project managers and sales team.

Experienced with the most recent field methodologies and data collection techniques.

Experience with the latest remedial strategies is a plus. QUALIFICATIONS

3-15 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited university in geology, engineering, or environmental sciences

Current 40-hour HAZWOPER training a plus

Prior experience with the WDNR’s Remediation and Redevelopment Program

Prior experience with the MPCA’s Petroleum Remediation Program, the Minnesota Brownfield Program, and the Voluntary Investigation and Cleanup Program PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English

Must be able to communicate clearly in person, telephone, and in writing

Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
