Position Details: The Manager, Cloud Engineering is responsible to Lead, develop and manage Cloud Projects. Working closely with a partner vendor of Hyundai Capital Canada and collaborating with the internal business and IT team, the primary focus of the role is to manage Cloud Programs change and bug fixes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Leading the ETL Development and bug fixes in Python, Lambda, Step Functions and assist in production support

Oversee AWS infra vendor projects and bug fixes

Provide technical consultation in machine learning initiatives

Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project.

Communicating with stakeholders to keep the project aligned with their goals.

All other duties as assigned

7+ years related experience working within Cloud infrastructure, ideally in an automotive finance environment.

5+ years related experience developing complex python codes, lambdas, Step functions in AWS cloud

DevOps experience using GIT HUB/GIT REPO

Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)

Strong grasp of networking fundamentals, including VPC setup, VPN configuration, and routing concepts

Able to design technical specification documents for Cloud Solution projects.

Develop and deliver innovative custom solutions, introducing concepts and roadmaps to key decision makers

Experience with traditional and agile software development practices.

Use and Configure JIRA as a project management tool.

Education & Certification:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Information Architecture, Computer Science, or a similar field

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Experiencing in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms.

Understanding of and experience with the five pillars of a well-architected framework.

Experience in several of the following areas: database architecture, ETL, business intelligence, containerization, networking, big data, machine learning, advanced analytics.

Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of business analysts, developers, data scientists, and subject-matter experts.

Knowledge of web services, API, REST, and RPC.

AWS certification.
