Contract Duration:

2 Years

Extension Options:

3 extensions for 1 year each

Working Hours:

8 AM - 5 PM CST

Rate:

$105 per hour

Mandatory Qualifications/Focus Areas:

Senior Enterprise Architect

1.

Minimum of ten (10) years of proven Senior Enterprise Architect experience

2.

Experience in the assessment of business requirements, collection, and identification of technical specifications, and the subsequent development of technology solutions (i.e., business applications, workflow systems, purchased applications, developed applications and, applications integration).

3.

Experience working completing projects of a similar nature and complexity

Project Overview:

WCB is currently undertaking a major business transformation initiative to improve worker outcomes through enhancements to our service delivery model. The business transformation of the organization is anticipated to be a five (5) to seven (7) year journey and the program is expected to cover all business areas end-to-end, including Claims Operations, Employer Services, Finance, Corporate Services, Human Resources, Information Technology Services, and Business Intelligence.

WCB is seeking a Proponent to provide an experienced Senior Enterprise Architect. This is a key strategic role in the Core Solution Project implementing Sapiens CoreSuite. This role will engage with subject matter experts and business process owners to act as a strategic and technical lead on the Core Solution to integrate with the enterprise architecture program for WCB. The Senior Enterprise Architect must be available during standard business hours; Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST. Work may be performed remotely, subject to review and approvals, but the resource may be required to attend on-site meetings.

Description of Services:

• Act as a strategic technical lead and participate in the development of the Core Solution enterprise architecture, such as, but not limited to:

o Lead and facilitate collaboration among all technical architects within the program.

o Facilitate and design technical architecture for Core Project (Sapiens CoreSuite) to integrate with WCB systems with research, analysis, advise and collaboration leadership.

o Maintain and promote a broad perspective to ensure all Core solution impacts and implications of design decisions are considered.

o Review proposed solutions and facilitate appropriate approvals to ensure that solutions are designed and documented in alignment with WCB's Enterprise Architecture.

o Develop and manage a technology governance approach that encourages collaboration.

o Integrate project architecture governance processes with WCB Enterprise Architecture processes and organizations.

• Support the development of the WCB's Enterprise Architecture (EA) capabilities, such as, but not limited to:

o Facilitate the development of WCB's foundational EA capabilities through the WCB Architecture Review Board, in support of the Information Technology (IT) & Business intelligence (BI) Governance Committee's goals and direction.

o Configure an architecture framework that works best for our organization while adapting best practices and industry frameworks.

o Create a practical operational plan to advance the EA maturity of the IT & BI Services organization.

Technical Requirements:

WCB is looking for an experienced and professional Proponent to undertake this project. WCB will assess Proponent expertise and experience based on a range of factors including:

• Minimum of ten (10) years of proven Senior Enterprise Architect experience.

• Knowledge of industry best practices that will inform advice and recommendations for WCB.

• Experience doing a similar type of engagement with WCBs or other public sector entities.

• Experience in establishing and maintaining enterprise architecture governance practices.

• Developing and delivering long-term strategic goals for enterprise architecture vision and standards in conjunction with architecture domain owners, users, department managers, clients, and other key stakeholders.

• Best practice leadership and knowledge of enterprise architecture strategy activities including, but not limited to:

o In-depth understanding of enterprise architecture principles.

o Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements.

o Knowledge and experience with the various technical architecture domains.

o Experience with enterprise architecture tools, software, and techniques.

• Experience in the assessment of business requirements, collection, and identification of technical specifications, and the subsequent development of technology solutions (i.e., business applications, workflow systems, purchased applications, developed applications and, applications integration).

• Building relationships to create an internal management consultancy.

• Developing technical specifications and ensuring new technology solutions are designed for optimal access and usefulness and leveraging existing technologies when possible.

• Participating as a technical resource in multi-functional teams, giving advice and support as directed by WCB.

• Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and productively address concerns.

• Proven experience working completing projects of a similar nature and complexity
