Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager at Leo Martin Chevrolet in Lake Jackson, Texas is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase sales and profitability for the dealership. This is a management role in the auto industry, focused on generating revenue through new and existing business development. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients, identifying potential sales opportunities, and coordinating with the sales team to ensure customer satisfaction.

Compensation & Benefits:

The Business Development Manager position offers a competitive base salary plus commission, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401k, and paid time off.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement business development strategies to drive sales and profits

- Identify and pursue potential business opportunities, including new customers and partnerships

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business

- Collaborate with the sales team to set sales goals and develop action plans

- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adjust strategies accordingly

- Serve as a liaison between customers and dealership, providing exceptional customer service

- Develop and maintain a customer database to track sales and monitor customer needs

- Participate in industry conventions and events to promote the dealership and its services

- Develop and maintain knowledge of the dealership's products and services

- Manage and motivate the business development team to meet and exceed sales targets

Requirements:

- Prior sales experience in the auto industry preferred (minimum 2 years)

- Strong leadership skills and proven ability to manage a team

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong customer service orientation

- Ability to close deals and negotiate effectively

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
