Job Description
Manage construction projects of various sizes, which include:
• Working collaboratively with project team and vendors
• Reviewing drawings and project documents to be proactive about solving issues before they become delays
• Assist in writing RFI's as needed
• Help with reviewing/coordinating submittals & shop drawings
• Prepare project schedule and work with superintendent to update weekly
• Manage change orders: scope development, quantity takeoff, pricing
• Assist with preconstruction efforts
• Work with local authorities and support superintendent as needed to obtain Certificate of Substantial Completion from customer
The ideal candidate will have
• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• LEED accreditation
• A minimum of seven years of construction experience
• Knowledge of project schedules, budgets and costs, and contract management
• Good problem-solving skills and must be able to multi-task
• Leadership skills, exceptional communication, and a credible reputation among local and regional subcontractors
• Ability to proactively manage challenging multi-faceted projects with attention to detail, identify and develop solutions to challenges, and adapt quickly to changes
