Summary

The Career Connection Manager's mission is to wake up every morning crafting elevated experiences for talent supply and talent demand and "Winning the People Game" for the region. To support regional economic lift, the Career Connection Manager will help foster a talent brand that attracts enterprises to come here, grow here, and stay here. They are charged with being the outward facing representation of EKC's Talent Tactics. By guiding individuals through the Talent Acquisition Journey, they will assist in developing personalized pathways that empower individuals to navigate career pathways successfully. By operating at the intersection of Talent Supply and Industry Demand, they are measured by their ability to build meaningful and lasting relationships with talent and industry connections across the region.

Talent Tactics strategies that span all active clusters. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Meet 1:1 with talent and industry professions to understand needs.

Create structured talent and industry check-ins to track progress towards goals.

Coordinate programs to meet the regional needs for workforce-ready talent.

Support the Talent Exchange to match enterprise demand with workforce ready talent.

Support the Talent Assessment Tool to identify individuals with cyber attributes and skills.

Understand Cluster requirements and translate them into specific programs to improve workforce development effectiveness.

Coordinate strategies to identify and engage transitioning military, displaced workers, and individuals from underserved communities who are well-suited to high demand, high opportunity work roles.

Coordinate cyber training scholarships for underserved and rural communities.

Work with leadership in all education pathways to ensure Industry Recognized Credentials are awarded to graduates.

Work with Pillar and Cluster Leaders / Operatives to complete multichannel initiatives.

Develop strategies to expand the Talent Platform and Assessment Tool for other clusters. GENERAL FUNCTIONS

Remain current on issues impacting the Clusters by maintaining expertise in functional assigned areas.

Develop and execute project plans and hold regular stakeholder meetings to update project progress.

Provide expertise and consultative advice to Cluster members to optimize the Cluster Ecosystem.

Respond to all requests from external and internal clients in a timely and professional manner. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-pace, deadline driven environment.

Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.

Strong time management and organizational skills, including planning, goal setting, organizing, scheduling, and prioritizing.

Ability to energize a network of people to accomplish goals and objectives.

Familiarity with program design and implementation.

Ability to put team success above personal preference.

Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed.
