Casting Design and Tooling Manager

First Call Professional is seeking to fill a role for a manufacturing client located in Rushville.

Salary up to 110k

This role is responsible for designing casting/gating systems using CATIA software, optimizing them through flow and solidification analysis, and coordinating production of high-quality castings. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

Design casting/gating systems for castings using CATIA V5 software.

Perform flow and solidification analysis using NOVACAST to optimize gating efficiency.

Coordinate new product sample schedules between internal departments (tooling, sales, QA, production) and external suppliers to meet customer deadlines.

Evaluate sample castings and implement solutions to address casting defects.

Train and guide team members on proper measurement techniques and corrective actions for casting issues.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field (strongly preferred).

5-7 years of experience in tooling design and development.

Proficiency in CATIA V5 software.

Proven ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in the automotive OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) environment.

Experience using NOVACAST software for flow and solidification analysis.
