Job Title: Accounting Officer (Bilingual English & Mandarin)

Location: First Commercial Bank, Toronto Branch

Description

This is a full-time position. Working Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM (one hour lunch break). We are seeking a positive, careful and self-motivated team player to join.

Responsibilities

Verification of general ledger activities & daily balance sheet

Binding daily vouchers

Head Office daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports

Regulatory monthly, quarterly and semi-annual reports (e.g. OSFI, StatsCan, etc.)

Assist to prepare for financial statement and tax returns

Prepare budget, performance and income tax estimation.

Accounting daily transaction reconciliation and other Accounting related matters

Communicate effectively and works well with other departments within the Bank.

Assist loan department to perform financial analysis and risk assessment where applicable.

Complete other responsibilities, as assigned.

Qualifications

BA degree or above in Accounting major.

2-3 years work experience of accounting. Familiar with banking operation an asset.

Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Word. Good sensitivity and analytical ability on figures and patience with multi-task.

Strong ability to perform detailed work independently under time constraints while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.

Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin both.
