Buyer/Planner

Qualifications:

Technical Degree or Certification in Engineering or Supply Chain an advantage

3+ years of buyer/planner experience supporting technical companies such as design firms, engineering equipment OEMs, machine shops, etc.

Experience working with suppliers and vendors for finished goods, sheet metal parts, power components, etc.

Strong attention to detail, high degree of accuracy, strong analytical skills

High sense of urgency in placing orders quickly and accurately

Strong follow up skills to ensure completion of procurement tasks

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

Reviews and analyzes purchase requisitions.

Responsible for supplier selection, purchase order placement, cost control and inventory management for engineering and fabrication groups

Processes purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers.

Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity.

Develop and maintain relationships with vendors

Continuously updated Master Data such as supplier performance, shipping information, supplier spend details
