Position Overview:

As a Utility Planner, you will play a crucial role in analyzing, planning, and optimizing our utility infrastructure to ensure efficient and reliable delivery of services. You will collaborate with various internal teams and external stakeholders to develop short-term and long-term plans that meet regulatory requirements, support business objectives, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive analysis of utility data, including consumption patterns, infrastructure capacity, and demand forecasts.

Develop short-term and long-term plans for utility infrastructure upgrades, expansions, and maintenance projects.

Collaborate with engineering, operations, and regulatory teams to ensure alignment of plans with regulatory requirements and company objectives.

Evaluate the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of proposed projects, considering factors such as budget constraints, technological advancements, and environmental impact.

Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management and regulatory agencies.

Monitor and track the progress of utility projects, identify potential risks or delays, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory developments related to utility planning and management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., Professional Engineer license) is a plus.

Proven experience in utility planning, operations, or related field, preferably in the energy sector.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to utility planning and management.

Proficiency in computer software and tools used for data analysis, project management, and presentation (e.g., GIS, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint).
