About the Position:

YAI is actively seeking a Recruiting Coordinator to work along-side a regional team of HR professionals. The Recruiting Coordinator will be responsible for the sourcing, acquisition, and onboarding of long-term talent across our different service settings and organizational systems within Hudson Valley.

The ideal candidate will have prior HR and/or programmatic experience the field of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). Must have strong public speaking skills, an ability to effectively communicate our mission, and the capacity to attract and engage top-level talent for our expanding workforce.

Recruitment Key Responsibilities:

Source, recruit, and hire top talent.

Liaise between hiring managers and candidates to coordinate/conduct interviews, referrals, and related business processes.

Utilize various job boards, careers pages, and social media outlets to advertise and market open positions and upcoming vacancies.

Organize and attend career fairs, virtual interviews, and other recruiting events.

Regularly manage pipeline activity and maintain data integrity via our ATS (i.e., Workday), and proactively share data-centric updates with internal stakeholders.

Generate offer letters.

Facilitate open communication lines between the Onboarding team and Program Managers to optimize pipeline efficiency.

Partner with hiring managers on hiring needs and priorities to implement best-in-class talent acquisition strategies.

Attend regional leadership meetings and conduct on-site visits at YAI's 20+ locations in Westchester and Rockland counties, as well as attend departmental meetings (New York City) to provide status updates, report on progress, and other related KPIs.

Other duties as assigned.

Onboarding Key Responsibilities:

Supports primary Onboarder with the scheduling, meeting, and onboarding functions of new hires (in-person).

Supports with new hire paperwork, inclusive of processing background checks in accordance with federal, state and agency requirements; communicates status updates to leadership and new hires, and supports with managing post-offer steps in the candidate business process, utilizing YAI's internal Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

Supports as the region's Onboarder in the absence of primary Onboarder.

Responds to all general HR inquiries, audits, and requests.

Acts as Custodian of Records.

Education and Experience:

Two years experience in a talent sourcing role and/or administrative discipline, particularly within the field of I/DD is preferred.

Bachelor's degree strongly preferred

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple projects and multitask.

Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.

Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.

Ability to drive and measure positive outcomes.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Ability to travel throughout the region(s) as needed.

Proficient in utilizing ATS and ERP systems to manage back-end hiring and business processes required to move candidates through various stages of the hiring pipeline.

Schedule:

Full-Time (40 Hours/Week); Hourly non-exempt

On-site presence (if selected) will be required 100% of time initially, with opportunities to scale back to 60-70% of the week based on performance and demonstrated progress.

Proposed schedule is Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm; with occasional availability after hours and weekends to attend career fairs and hiring events.

Compensation:

$24.04/hour to $24.04/hour $50,000/year (annualized)
