Standard BioTools is looking for Director of Brand and Content Marketing to lead our strategic content planning and execution. In this pivotal role, the candidate will build and guide a team of content creators to develop engaging content across various channels. The expertise in understanding customer motivations, coupled with your ability to measure content’s influence on business goals, will be crucial.

The successful candidate will establish/reinforce Standard BioTools’s brand and execute brand marketing and content strategies that drive growth, engagement and loyalty among target audiences globally as we launch new products and markets. This role reports to the VP Global Marketing and manages a team of content creators, technical writers, copyeditors, communications and the creative team.

Description:

Define, champion and own brand strategy, positioning across all touchpoints and content execution

Develop vision, strategy, programming plan and oversee execution of content and activations that sharpen and reinforce our brand values and positioning in the market and amplifies awareness of SBI

Develop and own a long-term calendar of campaigns and activations (content, events, strategic integrations) for all of SBI that ladder up to the company’s growth goals

Develop integrated marketing plans, growth and GTM campaigns and original content that resonates with our audiences and drives tangible business impact for SBI products

Oversee creative development and content production for SBI brand and marketing campaigns inclusive of budgeting, creative development, production, editing and QA

Provide marketing and content direction to Event Lead for SBIs experiential strategy; plan and execute rollout and promotional strategies for events that amplify our brand and overall marketing/content strategy

Own brand marketing and content budget and ensure resources are allocated strategically

Own brand and content marketing goal-setting, metrics and reporting; use data-driven insights to uncover growth opportunities and drive marketing ROI

Create a content strategy framework for quarterly and monthly plans.

Lead a team of content creators and collaborate with marketing, sales, and account management teams.

Measure content’s influence on pipeline generation and business growth.

Work with Demand Generation, Sales Development, and Product Management teams for content support in campaigns.

Master various content formats and distribution channels.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Marketing Communications or related field; MBA is a plus

Experience in Life Sciences Industry

10+ years experience of brand management, marketing and content creation in life sciences or pharma/biotech

Proven leadership and collaboration skills, with experience working across a wide range of teams and talent to deliver the highest of quality work

Proven track record in connecting brand with product, growth, lifecycle marketing to deliver measurable business outcomes

Deep experience collaborating successfully with creative teams

5+ years of people management experience with strong strategic thinking with solid business analytic skill & business know-how.

Exceptional execution and organizational skills, balancing structure, and creativity.

Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt content for different social media formats.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

Experience in all content formats, including video and podcasting.

Knowledge of content distribution and measurement.

Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.

Familiarity with analytics tools (HubSpot, Hootsuite, Salesforce, Google Analytics).

Strong SEO skills.

International marketing experience and a passion for expanding brands into new markets.

Great attention to detail.

Strong experience in a role where you can demonstrate examples of content strategies you created, while leading a team.

Valid passport and ability to travel (20-25%) as required
