Why We Need Your Talents:

The Assistant EVS Manager is responsible for aiding the EVS Manager in the successful operations of the EVS Department. The Assistant EVS Manager will ensure high standards of cleanliness for the Live! Casino.

Where You'll Make an Impact:

Assist in the development, implementation, planning, and maintenance of all policies and procedures for the department, as well as recommend ideas, resources, and solutions.

Plan workflow and staffing levels to ensure quality service, efficient labor utilization, and staffing balance.

Evaluate service and recommend operational and or organizational change.

Coordinate activities and problem resolutions with various departments throughout the casino.

Supervise a section with responsibility for planning, coordination, and controlling day-to-day operations and procedures, including daily absence tracking, staff planning, quality monitoring, Kronos editing, and other EVS administrative functions.

Troubleshoot and resolve operational and staffing issues by implementing all policies and practices and EVS departmental policies and practices, including:

Conflict resolution, progressive discipline, employee recognition, as well as participation in recruitment initiatives.

Assist Manager in budget preparation and staff payroll.

Monitor compliance of expenditures to the annual budget and determine the allocation of department resources including staff finance and equipment.

Conduct hiring, training, evaluation, professional development, and salary administration per institutional procedures.

Ensure department functions are in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Managing shifts to maintain the highest level and standard of cleanliness.

Ensure the safety and security of team members and guests by following processes and programs to effectively control and reduce lost-time injuries.

Assist the supervisors with timely processing of Corrective Actions Notices, Personnel Action Notices, Performance Evaluations and Attendance Points Program.

Reviewing all EVS activity with EVS Manager (or Director of Operations) daily.

Conduct and/or leading vendor, executive level, team member and/or peer meetings.

Maintain a professional and collaborative relationship with internal- and external department leaders.

Proficient in Microsoft Office including, but not limited to, Excel, Word and Outlook.

Kronos experience would be a plus

Must-Haves:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Two Year degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

Experience:

At least three (3) years of experience in a hospitality environment.

At least five (5) years of supervisory experience is required.

Must be able to comply with all state gaming regulations, which may include obtaining a license.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to ascend and descend stairs several times a day.

Ability to lift arms and hands above the head, bend at the waist, stoop and walk.

Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
