Location: Raleigh, NC or Ohio

Pay Rate: $55/hr W2 only

Skills' Details

- 5+ years of professional experience in Python development (80% of the role)

- Strong ML model hosting experience + Experience utilizing SageMaker to build, train, and deploy ML models into a production-ready hosted environment (20% of the role)

- Knowledge of AWS services (EMR, S3, OpenSearch etc.) and AWS DevOps

- Familiarity with CI/CD best practices and experience with Jenkins, Git, and Azure DevOps

Nice to haves: Experience with EKS and Helm Charts.

Job Description

Data Engineer for their flagship product, LexisNexis® Legal & Professional, a leading global provider of information and analytics. Recently LexisNexis has focused on the general availability of Lexis+ AI™ for U.S. customers, a generative AI solution designed to transform legal work. Lexis+ AI delivers trusted results in a familiar, easy-to-use interface with linked hallucination-free legal citations that combine the power of generative AI with proprietary LexisNexis search technology, Shepard’s® Citations functionality, and authoritative content.

Software Engineering Requirements:

- 3+ years of professional experience in Python development

- Strong understanding of Python best practices and design patterns

- Experience building scalable, production-ready REST APIs

- Knowledge of API design, testing and documentation

- Experience with Python web frameworks like Flask and FastAPI

- Familiarity with AWS services and infrastructure

- Experience with CI/CD best practices and familiarity with Jenkins, Git, and Azure DevOps

- Ability to quickly ramp up and contribute to an existing codebase

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with internal teams
