Join our team as a Senior Configuration Analyst, responsible for performing Configuration Management (CM) activities related to the design, development, and production of complex systems in a defense environment. You will work independently and as part of a team, managing changes to approved configurations using a systematic, measurable change process. Your role will involve delivering and maintaining the engineering technical data package (TDP) and applying CM processes in accordance with the CM Plan. You will support configuration management and quality audits and develop solutions to moderate scope and complexity problems, using guidance from company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Configuration Management: Manage changes to approved configurations using a systematic, measurable change process. Apply CM processes as per the CM Plan and deliver and maintain the engineering technical data package (TDP).

Audits and Problem Solving: Support configuration management and quality audits. Develop solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity using company policies and procedures.

Documentation: Prepare appropriate metrics, reports, and documents using the MS Office suite. Utilize advanced MS Excel skills to manage complex formulas.

Communication: Explain solutions, practices, and procedures to others within the organization according to established procedures. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Collaboration: Develop and maintain effective working relationships with functional personnel in Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Procurement, and Manufacturing.

Standards Compliance: Ensure general knowledge and application of relevant configuration management and design engineering standards, manufacturing processes, and documentation including military standards (MIL-HDBK-61A, MIL-STD-31000), industry CM standard EIA-649, and drawing standards (ASME Y14.24 and ASME Y14.100).

Tool Utilization: Use Windchill to manage product data and apply formal training in Configuration Data Management (CDM).

Required Skills and Experience:

Database Management: Experience using databases for configuration management.

Computer Skills: Proficiency with MS Office suite, especially advanced user knowledge of MS Excel.

Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.

Interpersonal Skills: Sound interpersonal skills for interfacing and coordinating with company personnel, customers, and suppliers.

Discretion and Judgment: Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.

Research and Presentation: Ability to develop and demonstrate research and presentation skills.

Standards Knowledge: General knowledge of configuration management and design engineering standards, including MIL-HDBK-61A, MIL-STD-31000, EIA-649, ASME Y14.24, and ASME Y14.100.

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with CMMI requirements and defense industry standards.

Educational Requirements:

Typically a bachelorâ s degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Engineering) and 4+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
