We are seeking a Manager for Semiconductor Applications, interested in leading and creating a highly technical team responsible for the strategic design, development, and selection of MCUs, SoCs, memory, communication, SiC, HV. LV semiconductors. This high-performance Manager will be depended on for leading and delivering efforts to define semiconductor requirements and for building strong partnerships with internal team members responsible for SDV architecture, semiconductor release, commercial negotiations, electronic control unit (ECU) design as well as semiconductor IDMs and fabrication partners. This individual will also be depended on to technically guide the team to execute strategic plans relative strategic semiconductors deployment. This will include responsibility for guiding semiconductor technical specialists and engineers by defining templated requirements and establishing best practices for guiding development and validation.

What you will be doing:

Building partnerships and work closely with functional peers across SDV architecture, ECU engineering, in-vehicle communication, ADAS and IVI architecture, Systems and Software engineering, and purchasing to establish enterprise SoC, MCU, memory, serial and wireless communications, power distribution, and HV BEV semiconductors’ strategic roadmap and sourcing strategy.

Establishing strong understanding of MCU, SoC, memory, communication semiconductors’ design/fabrication, product portfolio, supply chain and technology roadmap.

Providing technical support to commercial and supply chain teams to create and execute an agile and robust semiconductor supply chain strategy.

Developing written specification templates for semiconductor selection, design, fabrication of semiconductors within scope of responsibility, enabling sourcing teams to facilitate on-time sourcing activities.

Leading all discussion with semiconductor partners, IDMs to execute an enterprise-wide semiconductor selection strategy and future roadmap.

Creating and manage a team of highly skilled semiconductor engineers and technical specialists.

Creating a winning and inclusive work environment.

Performing other duties as required

What you will need:

BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

10+ years of experience in one or more of ECU design, architecture definition, semiconductor selection, performance evaluation, or software system architecture definition in an automotive industry.

3+ years of managing engineering teams.

Strong understanding of the latest automotive MCU/SoC/memory/serial and wireless communication semiconductor microarchitectures and protocols.

Strong communication, data management and reporting skills. Experienced in exploring and analyzing data; applying statistical knowledge; creating data visualizations, dashboards, and reports; writing and communicating with clear and crisp reports.

Experienced in HV BEV power architecture and SiC based semiconductor solutions.

Experience in prototype evaluation, debug, and testing.

Strong comprehension of automotive SDV software architecture.

Exceptional collaboration and teamwork skills; demonstrated ability for working across functional and organizational boundaries.

Exceptional demonstrated experience leading projects to completion.

Strong problem-solving skills and proven ability to learn quickly.

Must be a team-oriented self-starter.

Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail

Must be able to work under pressure and meet firm deadlines, while consistently delivering a high standard of work

Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills are essential, and must be comfortable presenting to all levels of management;

Must have strong business acumen, and the ability to work with people at varying levels with the organization and network;

Preferred

Master’s/Ph.D. degree in Engineering.

Strong knowledge of System/Hardware/Software architecture for safety-critical automotive system applications.

5+ years of experience working with major automotive IDMs vendors and fabs, strong knowledge of industry trends and silicon roadmaps.

5+ years of experience with one or more of the following computing technologies: high performance x86 processors, multi core ARM systems, ISP technologies, GPU/NPU for artificial intelligence applications.

Schedule: Hybrid Ways of Working

Recruitment Salary Range: $107,500 - $150,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized components, including location, skills, experience, and market factors. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus in addition to a full range of medical/health, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick/personal, and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position”.
