Position Scope

We are seeking a Corporate Recruitment Advisor to support our Recruitment and Human Resources team by providing strategic talent sourcing for our corporate positions.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of balancing multiple roles, across multiple divisions, while ensuring that a diverse range of top talent is being engaged. Someone with natural relationship building and networking skills as well as an interest in utilizing technology in talent sourcing practices will excel in this role.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

Recruitment & Selection

Build strong relationships with hiring managers at all levels of the organization and provide talent sourcing consulting when required.

Coordinate the selection and hiring process, including appropriate paperwork, from advertisement to hire.

Design and place employment advertisements, post jobs, follow-up on employee referrals, research organizations or retain search firms as appropriate.

Conduct university and college campus, trade school or other targeted job fairs to develop candidate pool.

Ensure the roles of NACG’s companies are represented across multiple platforms resulting in a diverse talent pool.

Identify qualified candidates and make recommendations to hiring manager by screening resumes, interviewing, checking references and ranking candidates.

Arrange for interviews, travel and/or lodging of selected applicants as necessary.

Review and evaluate candidates’ work history, education training and other qualifications to meet the Company’s qualifications.

Explain job duties/responsibilities, compensation and benefit programs, work schedule or special conditions, career and advancement opportunities and related information.

Extend employment offers to successful candidates.

Talent Sourcing

Participate in the development and implementation of innovative recruitment strategies.

Research recruitment and economic trends affecting regions and occupations that are important to NACG.

Develop, test, and track customized sourcing strategies to identify top talent for current and future roles.

Source, engage, and motivate passive candidates through ongoing relationship building and recruiting best practices.

Engage with under-represented groups and communities to ensure the opportunities of NACG companies are accessible.

Research, identify and engage with Recruitment Agencies that will augment the sourcing of candidates for difficult to fill roles.

Represent NACG’s companies in a professional and attractive manner.

Build relationships with candidate communities to maintain a network of potential candidates and nurture a pipeline of potential candidates.

Reporting and Administration

Measure and report on key performance indicators for recruitment and talent sourcing.

Utilize technology as an efficiency driver in identifying top talent.

Provide innovative solutions related to the recruitment and talent sourcing function.

Provide key market insights back to the business to inform future decisions and strategy.

Develop an understanding of current and future manpower needs, research best practices and emerging trends and anticipate and react to shortages.

Ensure NACG policies and practices are followed.

Qualifications

What Makes You the ONE

Five to seven years’ experience related to recruitment and selection.

Union environment exposure preferred.

University Degree, College Diploma, or equivalent experience.

Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) or CHRP designation is considered an asset

Highly proficient in web-based ATS systems, experience with iCIMS preferred.

Highly proficient in MS Office Software

Thorough knowledge of recruitment and selection practices and theories.

Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, learning and motivation.

Talent and confidence to interact and build relationships with all levels of employees and managers.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and be well organized, detail oriented, and results focused.

Demonstrated experience managing talent sourcing for niche roles, difficult the fill occupations, and roles in remote areas.

Inquisitive mind and keen interest in market trends and new innovations within the recruitment industry.

Knowledge and self-awareness of biases and how they relate to fair hiring practices.

Service and results oriented; proactive approach to recruiting and projects.

Sense of urgency and the ability to focus with changing priorities.

Ability to travel as required.
