Our Loews Hotels & Co Home Office teams provide support to all our properties throughout the United States and Canada. Our talented teams provide guidance over strategic planning, operations, revenue management, communications, marketing, finance, human resources, and information technology. This position is based at the Loews Hotels & Co Business Services Center in Franklin, TN.

We offer hybrid flexibility from our Home Office location in Franklin, TN.

The Manager, Data Acquisition, Automation and Optimization for Strategic Applications will play a critical role in optimizing the IT Strategic Applications through managing the systems data and overseeing relevant process automation. The Manager’s role is to focus on strategic development and operation of the automation and data storage practice and implementation for Loews Hotels & Co. This role will be responsible for establishing best practices and frameworks, managing and growing the Automation and Data team, optimizing processes and technology, and ensuring a high availability of the automation platform and the data. The Manager’s role will also work closely with business executives and stakeholders in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support data and automation solutions to satisfy their process automation and optimization needs. The ideal candidate will be analytical, strategic, and results driven. They will combine skills and experience about data management, strategy, and governance, with robotic process automation, and hospitality to execute this role successfully.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Manage and provide technical oversight to the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of applications and systems, including architecture, high availability, security, and data privacy.

Help design the overall suite of data storage and management systems to meet the broad needs of the company

Develop, manage and track project deliverables in a timely manner, communicating status to identified stakeholders.

Understand RPA (Robotic Process Automation) technologies/processes/tools.

Understand complex database concepts and effectively employs different database design techniques.

Develop short- and long-term strategies for data storage, management, and growth focusing on scalability and sustainability.

Ensure best practices are established for effective problem resolution for a high availability, 24/7 environment.

Follow and ensure information security and governance policies and procedures are adhered to, including but not limited to Change Management, PCI DSS, SOX

Build long-term, strategic relationships with senior stakeholders, collaborating with them to gain commitment.

Understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions

Establish and maintain regular communications with the organization’s executives, department heads, and end users regarding data management, optimization, and automation.

Ensure the efficient utilization and effective prioritization of robotic process automation across different business units and corporate function.

Examine, refine, and develop metrics. Oversee all reports dashboards, and KPI artifacts for robotic process automation.

Easily recognizes system deficiencies and implements effective solutions.

Ensure the uptime of automation and data storage systems

Participate in the design and selection of systems

Participate in the recruiting and on-boarding of the team

Establish staff goals and performance expectations and evaluate employees’ performance based on established expectations. Write reviews, deliver ongoing, timely feedback to employees

Review the status reports of team members and addresses technical issues as appropriate.

Review work of team members offering support and mentoring as needed

Maintain positive vendor relationships to keep abreast of the technical and corporate developments and to maintain negotiating positions

Assist in providing timely resolution for support cases escalated to the team

Conduct research and remain current with the latest technologies and solutions in support of future data and automation needs.

Oversee the operational activities related to the implementation and on-going support for process data and automations

Supportive Functions and Responsibilities

Support other IT and business-led strategic initiatives with solution design, implementation, and change management as needed

Work with different business units and corporate functions at the executive / director level to align the business and IT.

Research, evaluate, and recommend tools and solutions to accelerate process improvement initiatives and drive successful change

Interface with team members at all levels of the organization, employing a high degree of tact and diplomacy to promote positive image of the department

Maintain competency and professional growth by consulting with Technology Management Team, attend seminars, conferences, or trainings; read industry related publications to remain abreast of technology advances

Treat others respectfully and actively listen when someone is speaking to them

Required Qualifications

BS/BA Bachelor’s Degree in Technology (or associate degree/high school diploma and equivalent years of experience)

8 years of hospitality experience

3-5 six years of Management/Leadership experience

1-2 years of project management

Strong knowledge of .NET (C#) and .NET framework application development

Knowledge of Oracle SQL, Microsoft SQL, SSRS and SSIS

Knowledge of a scripting language (JS/ VBS/ JavaScript).

Validated experience with programming (preferable in Java / .NET (C#, VB, etc.)/ VBA / HTML/ SQL).

Proficiency in MS Office (Access, Outlook, Excel) including macros creation.

Technically sound candidate with hands-on development experience.

Minimum 5+ years of experience with working with interdisciplinary teams.

Proven experience in intelligent process automation planning and development.

Proven experience in infrastructure

Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Extensive experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment

Ability to execute multiple initiatives simultaneously

Ability to solve problems creatively and, where necessary, pragmatically

Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.

Ability to travel up to 15% of the time

Salary range for this position, based on experience, is $96,000.00 to $120,000.00
