Aaa Home Care in Palmdale, 44916 10 is looking for one executive director to join our 5 person strong team. We are located on 1607 East Palmdale,Suite C. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and reliable.

Responsibilities

The Executive Director has the oversight over all staff to ensure that they are providing support to achieve the agreed upon ISP/IPP goals.

Executive Director manages the day-to-day operations and be responsible for providing direction and leadership toward the articulation and achievement of the philosophy, mission, strategy, and the goals and objectives of supported living for consumers. The Executive Director (ED) provides leadership and strong management of business, personnel, program, advocacy and development activities. The ED participates in the recruitment, screening, hiring and reviews of all employees at the SLS agency.

The ED manages and oversees the vendor's contractual obligations, budgeting, service design and implementation, project planning, staff development, training, evaluation, and the direction of the SLS.

This position encompasses all duties held by the Supported Living Services Specialist and the coordinator when and where necessary.

The ED oversees and implement administrative functions including those related to the office, supplies, equipment, travel, contracts, accounting and insurance requirements, payroll, background checks and other administrative functions.

Possess the following skills:

Understand the concept of Supported Living and advocate for the shift in the mindset in others.

Be able to work effectively for and with individuals who have intellectual and behavioral differences.

Effectively support consumers to develop a community network in their community.

Be able to build teams and maintain a positive work environment for employees.

Keep accurate business/administrative records.

Good judgment and reasoning skills a must.

Good communication skills and a willingness to listen.

Approved Criminal Record Check by the Department of Justice.

Current TB test, CPR/First Aid Certification.

At least 21 years of age.

Ability/ to speak, read and write in English

Proven organizational skills, prioritizing tasks and time management skills.

Internet skills and basic use of Word and other applications, will train good candidates.

Ability to complete basic arithmetic computations and perform tasks such as balancing a checkbook and recording expenditures.

Ability to follow oral and written instructions

Knowledge of community resources

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays

Applicants must also have:

CA driver's license and clean driving record

Reliable automobile

Current Auto Insurance, including liability

Driving record that meets agency standards

Up-to-date CPR and First Aid
