Escrow Officer for Kansas City Missouri location

Town & Country Title Services LLC seeks a dynamic self-starter to spearhead the opening of its operations in the Kansas City metropolitan area. This position will work closely with Town & Country’s affiliated builder and mortgage partners, helping these partners provide an outstanding customer experience throughout the homebuying or refinance process.

What will you do in this role?

The Escrow Officer provides closing services for residential purchase and refinance transactions, with a particular focus on integration with internal affiliate clients.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the overall closing process on assigned files/clients.

Maintain a professional relationship with customers.

Provide the status of the transaction throughout the closing process to the appropriate customers.

Review contract, title commitment, and lender instructions in order to prepare settlement statements and the necessary real estate documents for closing.

Provide a professional closing experience to include: obtaining appropriate signatures, handling of good funds, and meeting all title and lender requirements.

Verify receipt of good funds and disburse those funds to appropriate parties.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Team player. At times assisting (where applicable) the Escrow Processor/Closing Assistant teams to obtain and/or update file information when needed for processing.

Communicate with Supervisor and Co-Team Members on workload and scheduled closings.

Regular communication with other Escrow and Title Team Members as applicable.

Ability to back up duties of Escrow Processor/Closing Assistant or other Escrow officers for vacation coverage.

Assist in training new Team Members as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Some travel to closings and other company offices to work may be required.

You Have:

Experience as an escrow closer/officer for a title company or escrow company working on Builder, Resale, and Refinance files.

Must have Current Notary/be qualified to conduct closings for Kansas and Missouri properties.

Have the necessary licensure in order to act as an Escrow Officer in Kansas and Missouri.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Understanding of Escrow accounting a plus.

Understanding of Aim+ and Sureclose systems a plus but not required.

Proficient knowledge of title insurance, regulatory guidelines, legal documents, and real property law.

Ability to build and maintain productive customer relationships.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Experience with developing alliances with others as necessary to accomplish work assignments.

Able to follow all company procedures and policies including meeting the company customer service expectations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Good analytical and documentation skills.

Good customer service skills along with excellent problem-solving ability.

Ability to productively interact with peers, customers and management.

Proficient with internet navigation.

Attention to detail, professionalism, organized and ability to prioritize multiple work assignments simultaneously.

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly.

Expected Salary: $31.25 to 33.75 per hour depending on experience - This position is eligible for additional performance incentives through quarterly bonus opportunities. Company and personal bonus potential of 10% of base salary, and additional incentives available for personal revenue capture.
