Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Operations: Manage all plant accounting functions, including A/P, A/R, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.

Strategic Planning: Prepare and coordinate the plant's budget and financial forecasts, with detailed variance reporting.

Accurate Reporting: Produce and distribute timely monthly financial statements.

Closing Processes: Supervise month-end and year-end closing activities.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.

Internal Controls: Maintain and enhance internal control processes and accounting policies.

Cost Management: Conduct variance analysis, perform cost analyses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Operational Support: Provide financial analysis and decision support to plant management.

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the plant finance team.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a plant controller role.

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with ERP systems.

Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical capabilities and experience with financial statement preparation.

Leadership: Proven leadership skills with experience in team management.

Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
