Job Summary (2-3 sentences describing job purpose): Provides supplemental on-site implementation, troubleshooting, assistance, training, and leadership on issues regarding information managed at the school-level for internal and external data requirements.

Reports to: Manager – Data Quality

Department Name: Information Management and Decision Support

Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities: List, in the order of importance or time spent, the essential duties/tasks performed by the position. This is not an exhaustive list and employees may be assigned additional duties by management as required. Regular and reliable attendance is an expectation of the job.

Job Duty/Resp. 1:

Evaluates school compliance with established data quality and procedural standards. Reports non-compliance issues to school administration with a suggested plan to correct.

Job Duty/Resp. 2:

Provides supplemental on-site implementation, troubleshooting, assistance, training, and leadership on issues regarding information managed at the school-level for internal and external data requirements.

Job Duty/Resp. 3:

Assists school staff in the resolution of data errors reported by the Tennessee Education Information System, the MNPS data warehouse and other regulatory agencies.

Job Duty/Resp. 4:

Provides input on changes in staff assignments and responsibilities that improve data quality and school compliance with internal and external data requirements.

Job Duty/Resp. 5:

Works to resolve any data issues with team.

Job Duty/Resp. 6:

Interprets data for school leadership and advises on types of data relevant to the decision-making process

Job Duty/Resp. 7:

Keeps up-to-date with student management software system changes, state reporting changes, and District policy changes.

Job Duty/Resp. 8:

Reviews and researches Average Daily Membership to ensure state funding is at a maximum. High School or GED.

Education and Experience Requirements

Education (training/degree): Required minimum: High School or GED.

Licenses, Certifications or Registrations Required: Click here to enter text.

Experience: Minimum of three years applicable experience in database entry, retrieval, and reporting including customer service support experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Must pass a computer proficiency test with a minimum score of 90%.

Equipment Usage (if applicable):

Level 1: Handles machines, tools, equipment, or work aids involving little or no latitude for judgment regarding attainment of standard or in selecting appropriate items.

Safety of Others:

Level 1: Requires no responsibility for the safety and health of others.

Kronos Set Up Data:

Meal Deduction – Most Bransford office and district level employee have a meal deduction. They are scheduled 8.5 hours per day and get an hour lunch. Itinerants and retirees get a 30 minute lunch period and therefore do not have a meal deduction. All school based employees will not have a meal deduction. Auto Meal Deduction

Travel – Itinerant non-exempt employees who travel will be using the time clock differently than others and are paid for travel time between work locations. Employee does not or seldom travels

Compensatory Time vs. Overtime (Support Non-Exempt Employees only) – Does this department have overtime budgeted, i.e. Maintenance, Transportation, Food Service. If not, employees accrue comp time only. Employee can only accrue compensatory time

Restrictions – Should employee be restricted to punch in and out within 7 minutes of their schedule start and end times? Yes, Restirct in and out punches (Support Employees Only)
