Quality Engineer

Job Description

Schreiner Group LP has a full-time position for a Quality Engineer. The Quality Engineer will be an active and integral participant in all phases of our manufacturing processes and the quality systems.

Responsibilities

Developing and implementing systems to ensure our printed products meet or exceed our customers’ requirements and expectations.

Significant role in change control

Complaint investigations

Customer and Supplier audits

Compliance activities

Understand and comply with ISO/GMP quality standards; demonstrate behaviors in support of quality work processes

Work directly with peers/cross-functional teams to assist with the use of the quality systems and processes

Skills and competencies

Fundamental understanding of quality principles, systems, statistics, methods and standards

Good project management

Qualitative and quantitative analysis skills are essential.

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Experience and education requirements

cGMP, ISO 9001 ISO:14001, ISO:45001 is necessary; IATF 16949 preferred.

PPAP, PFMEA, validation, internal / external auditing, 8D problem solving is a plus.

Full understanding of Process Capability (Cp, Cpk) and Process Performance (Pp, Ppk) is required.

Six sigma certification is a plus but not required

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering with an emphasis on Quality and/or Printed Services.

Experience in a manufacturing environment is necessary.

Familiarity with the needs of the pharmaceutical or automotive industry - particularly printed media - is helpful.
