Safety Director

Job Description

FDRsafety is seeking a Safety Director for a large manufacturing client near Youngstown, OH. This is a full-time permanent opportunity that will offer a generous base salary, lucrative benefits package, bonus incentive, and provide the opportunity for future growth.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH) preferred

Minimum of 5 years of experience in occupational health and safety management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting, with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective safety programs

Experience with processes common to an extrusion and vertical electrostatic paint operation (Hot metal working, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, material handling equipment, die cleaning process, pretreatment and paint operations, etc.)

Thorough knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations and compliance requirements

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and influence others to prioritize safety

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and engage employees at all levels of the organization

Analytical mindset with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret safety data to drive continuous improvement

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a unionized environmentCompany Description
