Job Functions
Repair, install and troubleshoot CNC and other numerically controlled industrial machines
Able to evaluate, prepare and execute preventative and predictive maintenance schedules
Troubleshooting/repairing/installing of wood processing equipment with a working knowledge of electrical to allow efficient repair/replacement results
Plan, organize & perform assigned tasks in sequence with minimum supervision & direction
Assist the production lines with changeovers and set ups
Must own a full complement of proper tools to perform tasks
Must be able to read and interpret drawings, sketches, OEM manuals and related technical data
Assess parts needed to repair equipment, create purchase requests
Ability to work in a team environment
Able to take the initiative to solve problems, where appropriate
Must be willing to cross-train in various areas of the department as required
Follow all Knoll safety policies and procedures
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Participate and maintain 5S in the workplace
Maintain and follow the ISO standard operating procedures
Ability to work in a multi-shift environment including flexible hours and weekends
Participate in and contribute to the continuous improvement process
Education Requirement
Licensed Millwright, certified to work in Ontario as an industrial millwright
Knowledge of Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Pipefitting and Welding
Intermediate to advanced CNC and servo systems knowledge
High School diploma or equivalent
Must be able to communicate in English (both oral and written)
Experience requirement
Minimum five (5) years of related experience
Machine shop experience
Working knowledge of a Computerized Maintenance Management System
